Reporting to the Director of Risk/Regulatory, the Patient Safety Program Manager is responsible for development, implementation and oversight of house-wide patient safety program to support an error-free care experience and culture of high reliability for St. Joseph Hospital. Key functions include analyses of internal and external safety data and development of appropriate action plans, development and integration of key aspects of the hospital's Patient Safety Plan, coordination of proactive performance improvement and educational activities related to patient safety. This individual fulfills the role as the designated house-wide Patient Safety Officer according to the Hospital's Patient Safety Plan. Serves as the Program Manager for the implementation of hospital adoption of the Caring Reliably program, as a means of achieving high reliability and zero preventable harm.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related
- 5 years Direct patient care experience in acute care setting
- Experience developing and leading patient safety program
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Health care field
- Coursework/Training in human factors safety science, performance improvement, data analyses and safety tools and techniques, as well as team dynamics and facilitation skills
- CPHQ or CPPS upon hire
- Exposure to quality management field
