Certified Nursing Assistant - Neurovascular - Medical Surgical

Certified Nursing Assistant – Neurovascular, Medical Surgical Unit at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center.  This posting represents a .9 FTE, day shift opening (7am-7:30pm, varied days, 3, 12 hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends.   

We are an accredited comprehensive stroke center and epilepsy unit.  This specialized unit cares for post-operative neurosurgery and EMU patients.  Patients on this unit may have received a hyperacute intervention such as endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) or thrombolysis.  Stroke patients generally stay in the hospital for approximately five to seven days. During their stay, the interprofessional stroke team works collaboratively to provide patient and family-centered and evidence-based stroke care.

The Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2) assists a Registered Nurse (RN) in providing comprehensive nursing care by performing specified duties and functions under the direct supervision of the RN.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course, Or
  • Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.
• Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualification:

• One (1) year experience as a CNA 2.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
