About the Role
This is a career-defining opportunity to play a crucial role in a hyper-scale AI company that is transforming the future of autonomous systems, energy, and the built environment.
As a Strategic Development Business Lead, you will take on three prominent directives: 1) partner sourcing, 2) incubation, and 3) customer guidance.
What you’ll do
Source:
- Conduct marketplace analysis of key partners to pursue within each PassiveLogic business pillar.
- Source key partners.
- Lead strategic partner engagement.
Incubate:
- Become a strategic co-pilot: Work with partner companies to help them understand their technology transition goals and help crystallize partner companies’ strategies as to how PassiveLogic can serve as a platform for those solutions.
- Take existing, sourced partnerships and move them from the top of the funnel to a closed deal.
Guide:
- Become the PassiveLogic sherpa: Serve as a “strategic partner sherpa,” guiding external stakeholders through the landscape of PassiveLogic’s offerings. Ensure customer needs are well-taken care of.
What you’ll bring
You must have
- Proven experience:
- Proven ability to open new markets, nurture relationships, and close deals.
- Demonstrated experience (in real revenue terms) in business development, partnerships, customer strategy, or related roles where you have closed deals. Please include these metrics in your application.
- An aptitude for impact observation—you pay attention to and intuit customer needs, propelling you to take strategic action.
- Systems thinking and a long attention span. PassiveLogic is a high-attention-span culture.
- Exceptional communication skills: Strong customer-facing skills with an ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. An empathetic approach to communication. You listen first, then solve.
- Organized and strategic: Intellectual horsepower and strategic curiosity. You’re someone who wants to deeply understand our technology, customers, and ecosystem.
- Collaborative mindset: Experience working across teams to drive partner success. Strong self-motivation towards PassiveLogic’s mission to “empower people through generative autonomy to solve the world’s largest climate challenges.”
- Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, eager to learn, iterate, and innovate.
- Problem solving: You own this role. When issues arise, be the empowered force that solves them, rolling-up.
- An onsite presence at our headquarters in Salt Lake City.*
You should have
- Experience in business development, strategy, or design thinking within the technology, built environment, or related sectors.
It’s helpful to have
- Experience at a startup or in a cross-functional, high-growth environment.
- Past roles as a founder, analyst, strategist, or similar “do-rector” roles.
- Background in anthropology, organizational design, product strategy, or customer research.
*We believe our best work is done together in-person, where we can collaborate in real time and allow creative thinking to flow between our team members. As a result, this position requires an on-site presence with the team in Salt Lake City.
