The Role

As a Delivery Manager, you will be the driving force behind the smooth delivery of projects within your product area. Working closely with a Product Manager and technical leads, you will coordinate priorities, manage workloads, and ensure delivery teams stay on track to meet business and customer goals.

You’ll combine strong organizational skills with the ability to build trust and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams. As a servant leader, you’ll support engineers, QA specialists, DevOps, and other contributors by helping remove blockers, facilitating effective communication, and keeping stakeholders informed with accurate, clear updates.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can balance multiple priorities without losing sight of quality and customer value.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Project & Delivery Management

  • Work in partnership with the Product Manager and Product Owner to plan and deliver the product backlog.
  • Break down large goals into clear, manageable tasks with well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor project and sprint health, ensuring progress aligns with agreed objectives.
  • Co-create delivery plans using Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) and maintain accurate tracking tools.
  • Manage conflicting priorities and make informed trade-offs to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Report on delivery health, risks, and progress to leadership and stakeholders.

Team Support & Collaboration

  • Guide and coordinate the work of a multi-disciplinary product development team, ensuring priorities and goals are clear, while fostering motivation and collaboration.
  • Promote open communication, knowledge sharing, and a collaborative team environment.
  • Actively work to remove blockers and resolve delivery challenges quickly.
  • Partner with technical leads to understand engineering constraints and opportunities.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Keep stakeholders informed of delivery progress through clear, timely updates.
  • Gather and integrate feedback from multiple departments to improve delivery outcomes.
  • Ensure strategic alignment between product goals and wider business objectives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Provide delivery metrics to help teams improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to refine delivery processes and share best practices.
  • Support documentation efforts (e.g., release notes) to ensure clarity and transparency.

Key Attributes:

Essential

  • Experience in delivery, project coordination, or product/project management in an Agile environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Clear, adaptable communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative approach with proven ability to work across functions.
  • Familiarity with backlog management and project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Shortcut).
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on solutions and continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Experience in a technology, software, or product-focused organisation.
  • Understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and servant leadership principles.
  • Exposure to the EdTech or education sector.
  • Knowledge of documenting delivery processes and producing user-facing release notes.
