The Role:
The Technical Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist, will understand search engines and web development to impact our clients’ overall website health, indexability, and technical tactics for SERP (Search Engine Results Page) rankings. You are forward thinking and are always looking to test new ideas. Most importantly, you believe in the core values of our company’s culture that drive our day-to-day operations. You are not intimidated by the almost daily challenges, but are rather looking for creative ways with the team’s support and brainstorming to find creative and long-term solutions and processes with the goal of improving SEO service offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform technical SEO audits and implement changes
- Write detailed SEO specifications for development teams and content teams
- Use dashboarding tools (exp. Data Studio), data manipulation (Excel/Sheets/SQL) to setup client reporting
- Define requirements for situations such as: redirects, various migrations, structured data, internationalization, etc.
- Implementation of web performance tools and best practices (PageSpeed Insights, Screamingfrog)
- A collaborative attitude with the ability to work across internal product and commercial teams
- Manage content production by planning content calendars, managing writers (or collaborating with content writing teams), and supporting them on SEO
- Serve as the key SEO expert/advocate
- Advise and execute methods to track, report, analyze and improve SEO performance
- Execute on-page optimizations
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to implement necessary features and changes
- Keep up-to-date with latest SEO trends, strategies and algorithm changes
- Implement changes in content management systems (CMS)
Requirements:
- SEO 2+ years
- Works US Eastern time hours from 8 am-5pm with a 1 hour lunch break (it can be flexible for a certain days in a week)
- Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills including fluent to native English
- Ability to create, justify, communicate and implement SEO strategies across teams and external agencies
- Data-driven and analytical mindset
- Attention to detail
- Project management skills
- Experience working directly with clients, and account managing clients
- Teamwork mindset
- Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to work closely with clients and their SEO users
- Strong organizational skills
- Proactive problem-solving abilities
- A positive attitude and a passion for marketing
- Significant experience with some of the industry standard tools like Google Analytics, Google - - Search Console, Moz, SEMrush, Screamingfrog, Deepcrawl, etc.
Good to have but not mandatory:
- Google Analytics Certification
- Good understanding of WordPress
- Good understanding of HTLM and CSS
- Basic understanding of PHP
- Email marketing experience
- Marketing automation experience with HubSpot (SharpSpring is a plus)
- Experience with HTML, Javascript or any programming language would be an advantage
