Are you passionate about advancing the positive impact of AI on a global scale? In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our AI initiatives are implemented responsibly and effectively.
Our Trust and Integrity Protection (TrIP) team works with other parts of Microsoft to ensure we continue to be one of the most trusted companies in the world. As a Responsible AI Advisor, you will act as a trusted support partner to our sales and solution sales teams during the early stages of customer engagements involving AI. Your role is to provide second-line advisory support, helping sellers navigate ethical, regulatory, and compliance considerations when positioning AI solutions. You will ensure sellers are equipped with the right tools, templates, and guidance to “sell AI responsibly,” accelerating deal velocity while upholding Microsoft’s Responsible AI principles.

Responsibilities
- Seller Support & Escalation Handling: Provide Tier 2 advisory support for AI-related customer concerns escalated from frontline sales teams.
- Responsible AI Guidance: Advise on solution viability, ethical risks, and compliance requirements during early-stage customer engagements.
- Tool Enablement: Ensure sellers are aware of and can effectively use Responsible AI tools, templates, and regulatory guidelines.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain and update internal resources such as FAQs, playbooks, and assessment templates.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Responsible AI Leads, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering teams to resolve complex queries.
- Training & Awareness: Support onboarding and ongoing education for sellers on Responsible AI principles and processes.
- Deal Acceleration: Help sellers differentiate Microsoft’s AI offerings by emphasizing ethical design and compliance readiness.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in risk management, privacy, security, compliance, government intelligence, operations, and/or finance
- OR 10+ years experience in risk management, privacy, security, compliance, government intelligence, operations, and/or finance
- OR equivalent experience.
- Working familiarity with Responsible AI frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001).
- Master's Degree in Risk Management, Engineering, Government Intelligence, Security, or Information Technology, or related field AND 12+ years experience in risk management in the context of operations, engineering, information technology, business analyst, consulting, auditing, privacy, security, compliance, government intelligence, and/or finance
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Engineering, Government Intelligence, Security, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology, or related field AND 15+ years experience in risk management in the context of operations, engineering, information technology, business analyst, consulting, auditing, privacy, security, compliance, government intelligence, and/or finance
- OR equivalent experience.
- Membership with a relevant risk domain area association including: International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2, and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Society for Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE), Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCB), Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO), and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years in sales enablement, technical advisory, or compliance support roles.
- Understanding of AI technologies and ethical considerations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience supporting sales teams in regulated or high-risk industries is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft’s Responsible AI tools and governance processes
- Background in risk management, compliance, or AI ethics.
- Ability to translate technical and regulatory concepts into actionable guidance for sellers.
