 SCOR Reinsurance Company seeks Assistant Vice President, Cyber Underwriter, SBS Cyber in New York, NY, to report and support the SCOR Business Solutions United States Regional Line Manager for strategy, planning, guidelines review, renewal coordination, KPI monitoring, portfolio management reporting. Work in the Global SBS team to contribute to the development of SCOR cyber operations in coordination with the global SCOR CTO team. 

DUTIES: SCOR Reinsurance Company seeks Assistant Vice President, Cyber Underwriter, SBS Cyber in New York, NY, to report and support the SCOR Business Solutions United States Regional Line Manager for strategy, planning, guidelines review, renewal coordination, KPI monitoring, portfolio management reporting. Work in the Global SBS team to contribute to the development of SCOR cyber operations in coordination with the global SCOR CTO team. Coordinate and drive underwriting activities in North America including managing broker relationships in NYC and Toronto, supporting relationships in the South, Central, and West regions. Underwrite and steer Cyber portfolio for Cyber, Tech, Property Damage. Regularly engage with the cyber pricing and claims teams, keeping them appraised of the latest developments of the cyber insurance marketplace. Identify and analyze existing and potential insureds, their cyber security posture, contractual mitigations, and insurance needs for primary and excess placements. Meet with brokers and insureds to establish SCOR’s position, carry SCOR's vision and mission to the marketplace, collect and analyze all the information needed for a through underwriting process. Proactively monitor marketplace intel, emerging legal and regulatory developments, and industry trends in property damage, cyber, technology, and media liability. Represent SCOR in working groups, conferences, presentations, articles and associations. Be accountable for an efficient administration of their assigned portfolio as well as for planning/putting into action pre-underwriting and underwriting operations. Comply with all Enterprise Risk Management rules. 

LOCATION: 28 Liberty Street, New York, NY 10005 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Economics or a related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: analyzing technology errors and omissions (E&O) and cyber risk exposures of companies in industries including manufacturing, aerospace and defense, or financial institutions; demonstrating understanding of technology errors and omissions (E&O) and Cyber policy forms and coverage types; and working with pricing tool including using and interpreting results of pricing model; identifying and analyzing existing and potential insureds, their cyber security posture, contractual mitigations, and insurance needs for excess placements; demonstrating understanding of property damage coverage terms and conditions and knowledge of policy forms available in the market; performing Cyber underwriting including technology errors and omissions, property damage and Cyber risk exposures of national account size; working with retail and wholesale Cyber brokers; and managing broker relationships and utilized marketplace relationships to access terms and conditions within underwriting guidelines. Employer will accept two (2) years of experience in the insurance field as meeting the degree requirement. 15% of travel required primarily nationally and occasionally internationally. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. 

 

Offered salary is between $158,000 and $213,500 per year. 40 hours per week.
