Accounting Analyst

Description

Our Finance Department currently has a Full Time 40 hours Account Analyst position available. Location is primarily at the Quaker Road facility, with periodic remote work within N YS possible at supervisors’ discretion. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday during business hours, and some evenings/weekends may be required.  This is an exempt position with a pay rate of $65,000-$70,000 yearly. The Accounting Analyst will assist in preparation of the organization’s financial statements, spreadsheets, budgets and reporting. The Accounting Analyst will monitor financial data, trends and indicators, maintain records, and assist with financial projects. Accumulates facts and information in specific accounting areas and summaries in proper form. Analyzes financial data for discrepancies or errors; reconciles data. Involved in annual budget preparation and variance analyses throughout the year.

Qualifications: 

• •18 years of age.
• •A valid driver’s license that meets WWAARC insurability standards.
• •To secure and maintain all certifications and training required by WWAARC.
• •Minimum 4-year degree, in accounting.  
• •Proficiency in Microsoft office applications, particularly, must have strong Excel skills.  Abila (MIP) accounting software preferred.
• •Experience with CFR preparation and familiarity with Medicaid billing regulations preferred.
• •Knowledge of auditing practices and principles.  Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles.
• •Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting and financial analysis.
• •Must be organized, accurate with great attention to detail.
• •Strong analytical and computer skills; strong oral and written communication skills are required.
• •Ability to read and compose business correspondence and to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external parties, in a professional and respectful manner.
