System Administrator, ECS Imaging Services

McLeod Software is searching for a System Administrator to join our Enterprise Consulting Services (ECS) Imaging team.
The System Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of McLeod’s DocumentPower imaging platform - delivering reliable product support, strengthening internal operations, and driving automation to improve efficiency.

 

What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities):

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, virtualization platforms, imaging tools, and network components supporting DocumentPower.

• Apply OS and application patches, perform updates, and manage system backups.

• Automate configuration and routine processes using scripts or configuration management tools.

• Monitor system health, capacity, and performance to proactively address issues.

• Manage user access, permissions, and security settings in alignment with IT security standards.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues impacting imaging deployments and customer operations.

• Document configurations, changes, troubleshooting steps, and maintain a robust knowledge base.

• Support internal teams and clients with outages, upgrades, scaling, and routine maintenance.

 

What You'll Need (Requirements):

Education / Experience (Required):

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.

• 2+ years in system administration, infrastructure support, or IT operations.

• Enterprise imaging or document management system administration (DocumentPower, ECM, PACS) preferred.

• Experience in transportation or logistics software environments preferred. 

Technical Skills:

• Windows Server and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware ESXi, Hyper-V).

• Patch management, backup/recovery, user/group management, and security policies.

• Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.) for automation.

• Competency with system metrics, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.

• (Preferred) Familiarity with DocumentPower, imaging workflows, or SQL/PostScript environments.

• (Preferred) Experience with ITSM tools, ticketing systems, or operational dashboards.

Certifications (Optional):

• Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, VMware, CompTIA Server+, or Linux certifications are a plus.
