About the Role

HARMAN’s diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offers interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. As a member of our team, your primary role will be to help the Product Management team with day-to-day tasks and activities relating to promoting and extending the lifecycle of our product portfolio.

What You Will Do

  • Work doing competitive research on professional audio products to analyze different features and use cases.
  • Testing incoming product samples to provide feedback on improvements.
  • Conduct sales channel analysis to see where users are buying products in different regions.
  • Organizing and cataloging product samples.
  • Validating tutorials, manuals, quick start guides, and webpages.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution, taking at least one class in the semester before the internship program,m and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program.
  • Degree must be in a related area of work with courses in Audio Production or Engineering
  • Product application knowledge for technology products in audio.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Some experience in a recording environment
  • Some experience in content creation
  • Fluency in Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, or other DAWs
  • Experience with immersive audio

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be able to provide their housing and transportation to/from work in the Northridge, CA office
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Highly prefer candidates who live within a commutable distance.
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
