Your day at NTT DATA

The Technical Services Engineer is a developing subject matter expert, responsible for ensuring that client solution requirements are resolved in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

To thrive in this role, you need to have:

Technical Support & Troubleshooting (L1 & L2)

  • Build technical skills continuously aligned with company portfolio.
  • Diagnose and resolve L1 & L2 technical issues related to software, hardware, and network
  • infrastructure.
  • Monitor and manage on-premise and cloud-based networks (hybrid).
  • Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network appliances.
  • Monitor and maintain security tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, and endpoint protection solutions
  • Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and operating systems.
  • Design solutions to meet customer needs

Pre-Sales & Sales Support

  • Assist the sales team in technical demos, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and client meetings.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide tailored technical solutions
  • Collaborate with engineering to develop technical proposals and pricing strategies.
  • Support management implementing Business Development strategies.

Customer Support and Engagement

  • Serve as a technical advisor for customer inquiries, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to customers and internal teams.
  • Improve customer experience by identifying and addressing recurring technical challenges.
  • Promote the NTT Global experience to the customer by developing a customer-centric mindset.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work

  • Liaise between sales, pre-sales, support, and engineering to enhance overall service delivery.
  • Work in an agile environment, ensuring smooth coordination between departments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Ability to document projects.
  • Knowledge of Deal Cycles.
  • Knowledge in consultancy and Audits
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to constantly improve skills in customer support, customer engagement and presales
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Analytical skills and a proactive approach to process optimization.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Academic Qualification and certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • 3 years minimum years of experience in IT support, pre-sales, sales engineering, or technical consulting. 
  • Knowledge of routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
  • Proficiency in VPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, VLAN, and LAN/WAN networking.
  • Understanding of network security protocols, including:
  • Strong understanding of network security principles, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and antivirus systems.
  • Experience with Security Appliances (e.g., Firewall, Mail Gateway)
  • Awareness in infrastructure topologies

Required experience:

  • Moderate level of work experience in technical implementation engineering, specific to Networking technologies.
  • Moderate level of experience engaging with clients and conducting presentations.
  • Moderate level of experience in Networking technologies such as routing, switching, Wireless, SDI distribution, core and access layers.
  • Moderate level of experience in diagnosis and troubleshooting
