Summary
The Acquisitions Associate supports our real estate investment strategy by sourcing, analyzing and executing acquisition opportunities. This role conducts comprehensive financial and market research, develops detailed financial models and evaluates risk & return potential. Our Acquisitions Associate also monitors portfolio performance, prepares investment reports and collaborates across teams to ensure investment strategies align with the company’s objectives and risk tolerance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate acquisition opportunities through market research and financial analysis
- Build and maintain financial models to assess investment returns and risk
- Conduct due diligence on potential transactions, including market, financial and operational review
- Prepare investment memos, presentations and recommendations for leadership
- Monitor asset performance and identify strategies to enhance value
- Collaborate with legal, finance, operations and asset management teams to close deals
- Track industry trends and economic indicators to identify new opportunities
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, real estate, business or related field
- 2-6+ years of experience in acquisitions, investment analysis, private equity, commercial real estate or related field
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting and valuation
- Knowledge of capital markets, transaction structuring and due diligence processes
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience with project management and accounting software a plus
