About The Role
Do you have a passion for people and a talent for creating a positive employee experience? Do you thrive in streamlining people processes and ensuring that all team members are supported with accurate and timely information? We are looking for a HR Officer to join our team on a12-month fixedterm contract (parental leave cover).
The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to take initiative. This role is based at our Perth office, working a Monday to Friday 40-hour week.
Your accountabilities will be:
Manage queries and requests through ServiceNow and Workday
Process employee changes (e.g., promotions, transfers, terminations) throughout the Employee Life Cycle, ensuring necessary approvals are obtained
Generate employment change letters for employees, both within Workday (People system) and outside the system
Prepare employment offers and onboard new hires in Workday
Maintain organisational and position management in Workday
Create reports using Excel and distribute them as needed
Cultivate professional relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality, standardised, accurate, and effective services
Regularly review Workday data to maintain data validity and compliance
Arrange relocation assistance for new and existing employees
About You
Knowledge of People systems such as Workday and ServiceNow
Qualifications in Human Resources, related discipline, or actively undertaking HR studies
Strong attention to detail
Strong administrative & Microsoft office skills
Ability to problem solve – using own initiative to find an outcome and seek out information
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to be flexible and adaptable – ability to work within a consistently changing and fluid environment
Customer service orientation – outcome driven while maintaining a strong customer focus
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Mining, construction, or resources experience desirable
An understanding of current employment law legislation and industrial relations
