We are looking for a Senior HR Specialist to join a market-leading company in Accounts Payable (AP) automation, recognized for its innovation and customer impact.
As a Senior HR Specialist, you will be part of Basware's Global HR Admin Service Delivery Center of Expertise, working closely with colleagues in the US, Europe, and Asia. In this role, you will help drive operational HR excellence, focusing on key projects like payroll implementation and other critical initiatives planned for the coming year.
You will provide operational HR services aligned with global and local company policies and procedures while leveraging our advanced global digital platforms, tools, and systems. Tight collaboration with global HR teams, employees, managers and other stakeholders is essential. Reporting to the Global HR Admin Service Delivery Lead, you will work independently, take ownership of your responsibilities, and contribute to the development of HR processes within a virtual Service Delivery environment, while partnering closely with the Regional HR Business Partner.
Key Responsibilities
Operational HR Services
- Act as the first point of contact (Tier 1) for employee and manager inquiries, addressing standard HR-related questions based on established processes and policies. Collaborate seamlessly with various HR stakeholders to ensure effective resolution.
- Proactively manage employee life-cycle processes and related data management, including:
- Employee on-boarding and off-boarding
- Payroll processing and reporting
- Employment-related documentation
- Administration of employee benefits and employment-related insurance management/renewals
- Vacation and absence management
- Office management and admin support for local offices
Project Involvement
- Support and lead tasks related to key HR projects such as global payroll harmonization and HRIS upgrades.
- Drive continuous improvement of processes and policies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
To thrive in this role, you need to have:
- Expertise in managing HR processes, systems, and tools, with a preference for proficiency in Microsoft products and modern HRIS platforms;
- Proven experience or interest in HR process documentation;
- Experience in HR activities supporting the full employee life cycle, ideally within a Global HR Admin Service Delivery environment;
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of working effectively with stakeholders in a global, fast-paced environment;
- A structured, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills;
- A proactive, customer-centric mindset, paired with enthusiasm for developing new ways of working;
- Fluency in English with proficiency in German/French/Dutch considered a plus.
Awareness of artificial intelligence concepts, tools, or applications is considered a strong asset. We highly value candidates who demonstrate curiosity, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to explore and incorporate AI-driven technologies into their work. Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms is a plus, particularly for enhancing HR workflows and content creation.
