The Sr. Merchandise Planner of Ecommerce is accountable and responsible for driving and maximizing incremental sales, margin and inventory productivity of our ECOM business.  To accomplish the aforementioned goals, you will need to employ effective assortment planning, item forecasting and inventory management to maintain high in-stock levels of our high demand and best-selling SKUs.  You will monitor the flow of shipments into our ECOM DC, located at Wichita KS, as well as our store DCs, to ensure a constant and consistent high in-stock position. You must maintain very close, professional and productive cross-functional relationships with Buying, Planning, Allocation, Supply Chain and ECOM Partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze and report on actual sales versus forecast by product types, identifying sales opportunities and taking actions to maximize the ECOM business.
  • Perform detailed trend analyses for products. Evaluate related historical performance, marketing strategy and initial sales performance for new products. Provide recommendations for deletion and exit strategies for existing products based on trend analysis.
  • Manage and lead pre-season planning analysis, assortment and item planning.
  • Manage and lead business reviews, inventory and receipt plans and adjusting where appropriate.
  • Monitor flow of receipts to the ECOM DC and identify improvement opportunities in the process.
  • Determine in collaboration with Buying, Planning, Allocation, DC and ECOM leadership, the appropriate assortment assignments for responsible product categories that balance volume and space considerations for the ECOM DC.
  • Manage and lead ad-hoc analysis, reporting and project work related to merchandise planning/buying/allocation execution.
  • Perform post-mortem analyses for seasonal events and strategies.
  • Participate in strategic planning.
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance.
  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management.
  • Adhere to all local, federal and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by management.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of corporate Retail Planning/Buying/Allocation experience
  • Strong analytical and quantifiable skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Excel
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing environment with efficiency and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross functional partners to accomplish a shard goal
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative
  • Experience meeting multiple deadlines
