As a Legal Entity Controller within the J.P. Morgan Securities Legal Entity Controller team, you will lead a team of accounting professionals, providing expertise in Swiss financial regulatory reporting and general accounting matters. You will be responsible for financial statement oversight, general ledger controls, inter-entity governance, and more, ensuring compliance and excellence in financial reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of accounting professionals, fostering continuous improvement and development.
- Manage strategic and complex projects, large data sets, and promote automation.
- Oversee Swiss financial regulatory reporting, including Basel III reports.
- Prepare and review annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with Swiss GAAP.
- Serve as the senior point of contact for external and internal audits impacting JPM Suisse financials.
- Conduct financial analysis and reviews, including variance analysis and regulatory reporting submissions.
- Maintain financial statement integrity and control environment with an automation mindset.
- Manage monthly financial close cycles under US GAAP and provide ad hoc assistance on corporate matters.
- Collaborate on new business initiatives and complex financial products with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Fluent in English.
- Qualified Accountant with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in banking or financial services, ideally within a global private bank framework.
- Strong team management skills and experience with cross-location teams.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulatory reporting, and banking products.
- Ability to work in demanding environments and manage stress and competing demands.
- Proactive ownership of BAU and leadership in initiatives with a problem-solving attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Fluency in French is a plus.
- CPA title or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience with FiRE, SAP GL, Temenos/Olympic, and automation tools like Tableau and Alteryx is an advantage.
