Job Purpose

This position will provide and support innovative security solutions for Ecobank's Group Network infrastructure, with focus on Next Generation Firewall technologies, Access Control & seamless operations between security components end other key network elements. This role will also engage in detailed troubleshooting and issue resolution for networking technologies including Routing, switching and engagements with Service Providers and External Stakeholders connection into the Ecobank Network. This is a highly visible position and requires collaboration with all other departments in the technology organization and the larger organization.

This is primarily a Level 2/3 Network support position and will engage with all Ecobank Affiliates and assist in implementing designs for the improvement of services.

Job Context

Provide critical 24x7 services support for all Network and Network Services across all Ecobank Group Data Centers and Locations.
 

Key Responsibilities

• •    Provide day to day network security support across the Group
• •    Provide level 1/2 support for Network/Telecommunications/Applications
• •    Resolve Incidents within agreed SLA
• •    Maintain up to date documentation on the network security infrastructure (changes, add, remove, etc)
• •    Write procedure and processes for all Network Security Operations
• •    Ensure housekeeping activities are done based on agreed timelines
• •    Coordinate and ensure proper network events management via monitoring tools
• •    Work with Security Operations on remediation activities
• •    Provide and continual ticket update to the customers and ensure that tickets are updated with incidents resolution details
• •    Assist with Implementation, Build, Maintenance, and operations of a secure Network fit for
• •    purpose, fit for use for Ecobank end its subsidiaries 
• •    Provide ad hoc reports.
• •    Ensure baseline configurations for all Security devices on the Network
• •    Perform Quality check and validate incident resolution details to populate the knowledge base
• •    Provide ad hoc, weekly, monthly activity reports,
• •    Provide technical support to all ECOBANK affiliates Network Administrators
• •    Perform all other assigned duties required to deliver excellent Customer Experience relating to Network Infrastructure, Security & Services

Job Profile

• Experience & Qualifications
• •    Degree In Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field of study.
• •    Strong awareness of the technical and business environment
• •    Understanding of and experience with service level agreements
• •    Ability to Interact with individuals on all organizational levels
• •    3+ years of relevant professional experience In Implementing and troubleshooting IP Networks
• •    Experience providing support in complex environments and multiple geographical locations
• •    Expertise required in Enterprise Security
• •    Strong experience setting up Network Security infrastructure with multiple type of media and vendors
• •    Proficiency in Next Generation Firewalls including Cisco/ Checkpoint / Palo Alto NGFWs 
• •    Proficiency in Routing & Switching, Routing Protocols (primarily BGP & OSPF)
• •    Knowledge of Scripting/Scripting Tools (e.g. PERL) is a plus 
• •    Very good and practical troubleshooting skills
• •    Industry certifications: at least CCNP, CISSP, CCSE (and equivalents) level required
• •    Good knowledge of ITIL foundation
• •    Proven extensive engineering documentation skills using Visio
