In this important role, you will be responsible for providing expert medical care related to transfusion practices and general healthcare, playing a key part in patient safety and clinical excellence.

As a Consultant/Specialist GP in Transfusion Medicine, you will be instrumental in the management of blood transfusion services and patient care, including donor selection, blood product utilization, and the assessment of transfusion reactions. Your contributions will not only ensure safe transfusion practices but will also enhance patient outcomes across various medical settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and consultations for patients requiring transfusion-related services.
• Manage and oversee blood transfusion protocols, including donor selection and blood component therapy.
• Diagnose and treat patients with transfusion reactions and associated complications.
• Advise on the appropriate use of blood products and ensure adherence to relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe blood management.
• Provide education and training to healthcare staff on transfusion practices and safety measures.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of transfusion therapy in patients.
• Conduct research and stay updated on advancements in transfusion medicine and general practice.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation and patient records.
• Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a valid license to practice medicine.
• Completion of residency or specialty training in General Practice or Transfusion Medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in General Practice and Transfusion Medicine.
• Proven experience in transfusion medicine, including blood bank practices and clinical applications.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex cases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and community health.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing education and professional growth.

Benefits

Working Time is Full Time.

Salary is AED 45K TO AED 83K
