AI Fellowship
Role Summary:
Join our AI team building advanced ML solutions for autonomous driving simulation, test automation, and data analytics. You’ll work alongside senior AI engineers and gain hands-on experience applying AI to real-world autonomous systems challenges. Your work will support validation of Level 4 driving stacks across simulation platforms and fleet data pipelines.
Role Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of ML pipelines for simulation-based testing and data analytics
- Develop AI modules for detecting outliers, identifying driving behavior patterns, and automating validation
- Develop data processing, labeling, and feature extraction pipelines for multi-modal data from sources such as camera, radar, LiDar, text, object-lists, and CAN.
- Assist in writing technical documentation and interface specs
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled at a University/College or Graduation date must be within the last six months.
- Enrolled in MS or PhD program in CS, AI/ML, Robotics, or similar
- Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- Strong Python programming and experience with ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
- Familiarity with CV/ML techniques: CNNs, RNNs, transformers, or foundation models
- Experience with unsupervised, supervised, and semi-supervised learning for tasks such as clustering, classification, outlier detection.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with autonomous driving or robotics datasets is a plus
- Knowledge of simulation tools (Unreal, CARLA, VTD), ROS, OpenSCENARIO, or autonomous driving validation concepts

In Belmont, California, the hourly rates for this role are based on level of education:
Undergraduate (Junior or Senior): $35/hour
Graduate (Master’s): $38/hour
PhD: $42/hour
