We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Melbourne team on a 12 Month Contract.
Movember has a responsibility to ensure the funds it raises are spent effectively in accordance with Movember’s values. The primary purpose of this role is to provide accounts payable support to the Global Movember finance team.
This involves taking ownership of the day-to-day accounts payable tasks, including daily invoice processing, employee expenses, reconciliation of corporate credit cards, weekly payment runs, as well as assistance with ad hoc tasks as directed by the Head of Financial Control. This role adheres to best practices and should be focused on maintaining a strong audit trail.
This position will liaise with the Finance Managers globally, the Programs Finance Team, the Global Funds Manager, non-finance Movember staff and external suppliers.
- Responsible for the day-to-day accounts payable activities globally
- Oversee dedicated Accounts email inboxes
- Arrange approval of all invoices within specified authorities matrix
- Process invoices through Concur (Our expense management system)
- Review and approve employee expense claims through Concur
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business to resolve any AP issues
- Process weekly payment runs to employees and suppliers through the bank
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the finance processes
- Assist Finance Reporting and Compliance manager with ad hoc projects
For this role, you’ll need:
- Accounts Payable experience in a medium to large enterprise business
- Must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- The ability to work effectively and flexibly as part of a team, including with colleagues overseas
- Proficient using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Must know and live by Movember's Core Values as well as possess a strong work ethic, collaborative and team spirit
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Experience in NetSuite and/or Concur
