POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES     

Percent of Time
•    Design and execute manual and automated test cases for web and mobile applications across different functionalities.
•    Analyze software requirements and user stories to develop comprehensive test plans.
•    Identify and report bugs and usability issues clearly and concisely using a bug tracking system.
•    Participate in sprint reviews and provide feedback on potential issues.
•    Collaborate effectively with developers and other stakeholders to resolve defects and improve overall application quality.    85%

•    Stay up to date on the latest mobile testing tools and methodologies    5%

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
•    Collaboration with product managers and product owners
•    Support Scrum master in Sprint planning, demos, etc. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Education:
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

Experience:
•    Minimum 5+ years of experience in web and mobile application testing (iOS and/or Android).
•    Experience with manual and exploratory testing techniques.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile)
•    Experience in leading a small size QA team.
•    Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for usability issues.
•    Effective communication and collaboration skills.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Required:
•    Experience with testing and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) a plus.
•    Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Pytest)

Desired: 
•    Proficiency in Python (v3.10 or later)
•    Experience with API testing and performance testing.
•    Experience with GitHub Actions as it applies to automation in a CI/DC pipeline.
•    Experience with Docker, Node.js (v18 or later), and Kafka a plus.
•    Experience with Appium or other mobile automation tools.
•    Experience with performance testing tools is a plus.
•    Experience with different mobile device platforms and emulators.
•    A passion for mobile technology and a strong understanding of user experience (UX) principles.

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS 
•    Regular working hours are expected to have an overlap with US EST morning hours.  
•    Sometimes, more overlap with the EST Time zone is required for e.g., production issue
