Additionally, we provide top-tier consulting and training for brands and businesses. We are currently seeking a Tax Accountant to join our finance team. This role combines hands-on operational responsibilities, stakeholder collaboration, and analytical support.

This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work remotely, with in-person collaboration at our Ann Arbor Headquarters three days a week.

Assist with the timely completion of federal, state, and local income tax returns for the non-profit parent company and for-profit subsidiaries (U.S. and international), including preparing all supporting analysis and collaborating with external tax firms
Support the oversight and analysis of tax compliance of NSF’s international subsidiaries
Support responses to audits from various taxing authorities
Prepare analyses to support accounting for income taxes for the U.S. and international subsidiaries
Research and resolve tax notices, and analyze various tax positions as needed
Assist in monitoring that global service agreements between companies are properly documented and accounted for
Assist the Tax Manager, Director of Tax, and CFO with tax planning projects as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required
two to four years of relevant tax accounting experience
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Demonstrated process improvement mindset
