The University of Louisville School of Nursing seeks a skilled individual with expertise in PC and Apple computer systems, as well as audio visual technology in both classroom, simulation, and special event settings. You will provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students, and assist with technology-related projects. Applicants with a strong technical aptitude for both desktop and audio-visual support will find this position satisfying. The successful candidate will possess exceptional customer service and communication skills, strong technical aptitude, and a commitment to resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner. This is an in-person position located in Louisville, KY.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with users of varying technical backgrounds to provide technical support and assistance. Provide exceptional customer service and a commitment to resolving technical issues promptly and efficiently: train faculty, staff, and students on technology use and best practices.
Work independently and as part of a team to provide technical support for all technologies used in the learning space environment of the School of Nursing.
Prepare and install workstations, software, and peripheral devices.
Monitor systems to ensure functionality and availability.
Maintain records/logs of repair and support activities.
Maintain and update technology-related documentation, including user guides, manuals, and troubleshooting procedures.
Provide orientation and guidance to users related to applications and systems.
Schedule and perform upgrades and maintenance with minimal user interruption.
Support Microsoft 365 and Adobe applications.
Provide audio-visual (AV) technology support in the classroom and special event settings.
Maintain presence in School of Nursing during night classes and special events to ensure operational technology.
Stay updated on new developments in computing technologies and university technology requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve technology problems.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work to meet multiple competing deadlines.
Organizational and time-management skills.
Experience in training users.
Hardware setup and troubleshooting experience.
Microsoft 365 and Adobe applications experience.
IT certifications are preferred but not required.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$32.17Target Compensation Minimum:
$21.45Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
