OUR MISSION
Imagine building a better healthcare journey for cancer patients, where individuals and their loved ones feel seen, supported, and heard by their care team – both in and out of the clinic. Where fast access to high-quality care is the norm, not the exception. Where patients have access to a care navigator to guide them through their diagnosis and trusted support all along the way.
At Thyme Care, we share a passion for transforming the cancer care experience – not just for our members but also for their caregivers and loved ones, as well as those delivering and paying for their care. Today, Thyme Care is known predominantly as a cancer care navigation company enabling value-based cancer care; in the next few years, we will become a nationally recognized technology-driven and provider-centric care delivery model, reshaping the landscape of cancer care access, delivery, and experience. Our commitment runs deep—we're not satisfied with the status quo but determined to redefine it.
To make this happen, we’re building a diverse team of problem solvers and critical thinkers to drive innovation and shape the future of healthcare. If you share our vision and want to be part of something truly meaningful, we want to hear from you. Together, we can revolutionize cancer care and make a difference that lasts a lifetime.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Senior Nurse Practitioner – Quality, Training & Enablement,, you will serve as a clinical expert dedicated to strengthening the skills, knowledge, and consistency of Thyme Care’s Nurse Practitioner (NP) team. Your work will center on education and quality, ensuring that every NP is supported in delivering care aligned with our standards of excellence, empathy, and compliance.
You will play a leading role in developing and executing both onboarding and ongoing training programs for NPs. By creating structured, engaging, and effective learning opportunities, you will help new NPs transition successfully into their roles while ensuring experienced team members continue to grow, adapt, and refine their clinical practice.
In addition, you will oversee NP-focused quality assurance, auditing clinical documentation and workflows to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency. By pairing QA insights with education and mentorship, you will create a feedback loop that elevates NP performance and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for leading onboarding training for new Nurse Practitioners, ensuring they are fully prepared to deliver care aligned with Thyme Care’s standards of excellence, empathy, and compliance. This includes designing and delivering a comprehensive onboarding program that builds clinical confidence, reinforces best practices, and ensures consistency across the NP team.
You will also design and oversee ongoing longitudinal training that supports Nurse Practitioners throughout their time at Thyme Care. This includes developing structured programs that provide continuous education, reinforcement of evolving best practices, and adoption of new tools, workflows, and technologies. By maintaining engaging and accessible training content—leveraging the Learning Management System (LMS) and other resources—you will ensure that NPs have ongoing opportunities to deepen their expertise, strengthen performance, and grow professionally.
In addition, you will oversee quality assurance for the NP team by auditing documentation, workflows, and clinical interactions. You will analyze findings to identify trends and gaps, then translate those insights into targeted training, mentorship, and coaching. Through this combined focus on education and quality, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement and clinical excellence across the NP team.
This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned by management to meet business needs.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE
Education: Masters in Nursing. With a focus on Nursing Education or DNP a plus!
Licensure: Active APRN license with national certification (FNP/AGNP) in good standing.
Experience: 5+ years of leadership in healthcare quality and training; oncology and/or palliative care training experience strongly preferred.
Skills: Strategic program design, Learning Management System optimization and administration, quality management, leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration. Experience leveraging AI-enabled QA or training platforms and leading technology adoption across organizations is highly valued.
WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS
People-first. Thyme Care’s mission and members matter to you, deeply.
Team player. You’re a strong collaborator who understands what it's like to lead a team in a growing and evolving environment. You’ll ensure your team is meeting and exceeding standards set while being a collaborative partner for the rest of the organization.
Effective listener and communicator. You always start with listening, and you hear what may not be voiced, because you listen so intently to others. You build rapport and great working relationships with your team, leadership, and stakeholders.
Comfort with ambiguity. You have a proven track record of success within scaling businesses, fast-paced environments, and startups. You understand that rapid changes to the business, strategy, organization, and priorities is par for the course… and part of the adventure.
Coach. You know your team’s strengths and what motivates them, and you strive to keep morale high while constantly challenging them to beat their best and never lose sight of the goal.
Grit. You’re never afraid to get your hands dirty, but you can also take a step back and connect the company’s strategy to your team’s performance and execution.
A desire to learn how to use new technologies. We are a technology company focused on interacting with folks during the season when they need it most. Experience with video chatting, Google Suite, Slack, electronic health records or comfort learning new technology is important.
Identify priorities and take action. You know how to identify and prioritize your own time, your team’s needs, and do what it takes to ensure that urgent and important needs are addressed immediately.
