Job Description

AECOM offers a comprehensive suite of subsurface utility engineering (SUE), private utility locating and services to its diverse customer base composed of Engineering, Environmental, Utility, Surveying, and other Construction, and Infrastructure. We are seeking a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Manager in the San Diego, CA region.

Responsibilities:

  • SUE Manager will manage multiple projects, as well as all aspects of the SUE Practice for the assigned office
  • Manage the locate schedule with the CSR team
  • Identify potential customers and set strategies to align customers with our recommendations

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS Degree + 6 years of related experience, AS Degree + 8 years of related experience or HS/GED + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience with SUE practices and procedures in accordance with ASCE 38-02 & 38-22
  • Valid Driver’s License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years of management experience
  • Experience reading and ability to process CAD, GIS, and MicroStation files
  • Experience processing survey data into CAD and MicroStation files
  • Experience with financial management
  • Business development and marketing experience
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to travel out of town and work overtime
  • Ability to walk long distances of several miles daily
