We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient IT Analyst – Asset Management to join our IT team. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing the lifecycle of IT assets across the organization, ensuring accurate asset tracking, compliance with policies, and cost-effective procurement and deployment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, knowledge of IT asset management (ITAM) frameworks, and experience working with asset tracking tools and CMDBs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the IT asset inventory, including hardware, software, licenses, and accessories.
  • Track and manage the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to retirement.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and organizational IT policies.
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and technical teams to align asset needs with budgeting and project plans.
  • Perform regular audits and reconciliations of IT asset inventories.
  • Analyze asset data to identify trends, forecast demand, and recommend cost-saving strategies.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of asset management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Lansweeper).
  • Document and refine IT asset management processes and workflows.
  • Respond to asset-related service requests and incidents in a timely manner.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining accurate configuration management databases (CMDB).
  • Support IT governance and risk management initiatives related to asset control.

 

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in IT asset management, IT operations, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices and ITAM/CMDB frameworks is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and asset management/reporting tools.
  • Working knowledge of hardware and software licensing concepts.
  • Experience with asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Snow, Lansweeper, SCCM).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or equivalent
