Job Description:

Grade 4 Occupational Therapist – Research Lead

About the Role

You are an experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for research excellence and evidence-based practice. You will lead research capacity-building across the Occupational Therapy department, mentor staff and postgraduate students, and drive the translation of research into clinical practice to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate research initiatives within the Occupational Therapy department.

• Mentor and support staff and students in research skill development.

• Identify, apply for, and manage internal and external research grants.

• Plan, implement, and evaluate quality improvement activities.

• Develop and implement evidence-based clinical guidelines and policies.

Classification for this position is between VG14 - VG17 ($126,079.20 - $138,928.40 per annum pro rata).

Your Contribution

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.

• Master’s or PhD in a relevant area (or working towards).

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant post-graduate OT experience, recognised as a clinical expert.

• Demonstrated research leadership with a strong publication history.

• Current National Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain.
