Introduction

The Markets internship provides exposure to the way we help institutional clients manage risk, navigate volatility, and access liquidity across global markets. This ten-week programme is designed for students who want to understand how financial markets operate in practice.

Program Overview

You will work alongside teams in areas such as FX and Rates Trading, Structured Products, and Macro Strategy. These teams support clients including asset managers, hedge funds, and global institutions. You will be involved in day-to-day activities, contribute to team initiatives, and develop your understanding of pricing, execution, and market analysis. Training and mentorship are built into the programme to help you grow your technical knowledge and professional confidence.

Summer Analyst Programme 2026

The programme duration is 10 weeks starting in late June 2026 and is designed to provide you with the unique opportunity to discover our CIB business, culture, and how we collaborate to deliver solutions for our clients. The programme offers organised activities such as classroom training and networking opportunities to boost your professional development.

Markets

Our Global Markets team delivers a comprehensive set of capital market products and solutions to the broader Wells Fargo customer base. From the distribution of public debt and equity products to hedging interest rates, credit, and equity risks, we are shaping our tomorrow through innovative financial solutions. Join us to excel with us and evolve together in this dynamic environment.

Within EMEA Markets you may be placed in one of the following lines of business:

  • FX & Rates Sales and Trading
  • Credit Sales and Trading
  • Structured Product Groups (SPG)
  • Asset-Backed Securities (ABS)
  • Equities

Required

  • Penultimate year undergraduate with an expected graduation date of June 2027
  • Demonstratable interest in finance through work experience or extra-curricular achievement
  • A record of academic excellence
  • Fluent in English

Desired

  • Knowledge of another language other than English. E.g., French, Spanish, Italian or other language
  • A personality that is engaging, flexible, organised, conscientious, initiative-taking, & detail-oriented
  • An ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines & achieve goals, all whilst working in a dynamic & complex environment
  • Ability to quickly evaluate and solve analytical problems, with a basic understanding of mathematical principles
  • Sense of personal accountability & urgency for achieving results
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products
