The Finance team in FNB Points of Presence is looking for a self-driven and highly motivated individual with a passion for Finance in the Banking industry. If you are ready for a new challenge, this is your opportunity to be part of the FNB #changeables.
Role Responsibility:
This role is responsible for overseeing invoice payments and managing finance operation products. The incumbent will lead the finance operations team and will manage over 20 employees that’s focusing on payments, deposits, fees, and reconciliations and key elements that directly affect both clients and the business.
Are you someone who can:
- Support procurement activities and processes.
- Participate in technology projects and assess process effectiveness through record reviews.
- Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments, monitor accounts payable for efficiency, and resolve disputes.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, assist with audits.
- Manage balance sheet accounts and ensure accurate journal entries while providing business intelligence and financial trend analysis.
- Collaborate with Business Partners on cost management and deliver financial insights to leadership.
- Develop and manage budgets, identify process improvements, and lead finance operations staff.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, manage risks, and collaborate with departments for decision-making support.
- Oversee financial systems for operational efficiency and coordinate audits for statutory compliance.
- Contribute to the development of financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Deliver customer experience excellence in line with organizational values and service standards.
- Research and consult on technology improvements and platform enablement opportunities.
- Review and innovate existing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce redundancy.
- Ensure understanding of processes, control requirements, and risk management frameworks within the team.
- Address compliance gaps and create actionable plans.
- Oversee the Tradex, Recon Tool, and Fee Engine systems to ensure results and drive enhancements.
- Control and maintain all bank accounts.
- Enhance finance operations processes for greater efficiency and ensure compliance with controls and monitoring.
- Oversee month-end processes for accuracy in fees, interests, reconciliations, and statements.
- Manage receipting, project costing, invoice uploads, and property payments, while following up on outstanding receipting or aging issues.
You will be an ideal candidate if you
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Commerce equivalent to NQF Level in Financial Accounting or related qualifications
Work Experience:
- 4 to 5 yrs Systems Accounting and Financial Operations
- Min of 1 to 2 years in a Management / Leader role
