Job Summary

The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator will help to grow our digital platforms by engaging, expanding, and activating Marymount Fashion social communities. The ideal candidate should have a distinctive social voice, and the ability to understand and act on data and trends that cater towards the present/future students of Marymount and the general DMV area.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator will work with the professors to: 

• The student must be a fashion major and have excellent writing and social design skills.
• The student should be comfortable multitasking and managing a schedule in order to create engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snap Chat and the MU Blog on a daily and/or weekly basis.
• The student should possess excellent interpersonal skills to work with faculty, students, and professionals in the industry. 
• A Faculty member will approve all blog posts and students will follow specific guidelines for posting content on the various social media sites.
• The student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and good judicial standing.  ​

Minimum Qualifications

• The student must be enrolled full-time at Marymount.
• This student must have a Fashion Design or Merchandising and Marketing background, have industry knowledge of technical fashion design, and be proficient in the use of industrial sewing machines, overlock machines, and coverstitch machines.
• The student should possess excellent interpersonal skills to work with faculty, students and professionals in the industry.
• The student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and good judicial standing.  
• Federal Work Study Preferred
