na Qualifications EDUCATION:
Minimum:
• Graduate from an accredited school of Practical Nursing
LICENSE:
Minimum:
• Current NYS LPN license
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through RQI; must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Completion of NYS approved course for x-ray in podiatry within six months in this position (NYS Podiatry Radiology Course for Unlicensed Persons (nysed.gov) or Radiology Course For Podiatric (unlicensed) Assistants (nyspma.org)
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
• Minimum of 1 year LPN experience.
Preferred:
• Previous experience in podiatry practice.
SKILLS:
Minimum:
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
• Computer literacy.
Preferred:
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record
