Our industry-leading team of groundwater technical specialists are recognised for their experience, knowledge and innovation. With global coverage, our team offer a unique blend of consulting, government and industry expertise delivering tailored solutions for a range of sectors including, mining, extraction, and closure and rehabilitation, major road, rail and transmission infrastructure, and renewable energy.
We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Associate to join our team in Perth, bringing additional support as we continue to grow our capabilities. You will have the opportunity to work on interstate projects of national significance as part of our national delivery model, with potential opportunity to work on international projects serviced from our offices in Canada.
Here’s what you can expect in your new role with EMM:
- Drive technical excellence: You’ll bring deep expertise in scoping and leading the technical components of water management projects across hydrogeology, water management and mining sector, providing expert knowledge on strategic planning and Water Stewardship.
- Champion of your discipline: Your expert knowledge and standing in the market with make you a beacon of insightful and quality advice to your peers, assisting them in developing their own skills and technical knowledge.
- Shape, build and innovate: You’ll play a pivotal role in the growth of our Ground Water Practice in Western Australia through utilisation of your strong local network, providing senior level technical advice for clients. You’ll also provide technical peer review of EMM workflows, proposals and draft reports, with emphasis on contentious and/or complex problems/projects. You’ll work in close collaboration with technical teams across EMM to leverage existing client relationships, innovation and expertise.
- With a national delivery ethos, you'll also have the opportunity to work on large-scale projects across Australia. Your expertise will make a difference from coast to coast.
- You’ll collaborate with the Groundwater team and have the backing of other leading multi-disciplinary teams across EMM.

Here’s what you’ll bring to have impact:
- Demonstrated experience in hydrogeology as either a consultant or in an industry.
- Deep understanding of the Western Australia market, and ability to be able to identify opportunities within our key markets; mining, renewable energy and/or Transport infrastructure.
- Strong project management skills that you can effectively utilise to deliver high quality outcomes, on technical complex projects, with a best for project focus.
- Be a technical lead and trusted advisor in the WA Market, allowing you to maintain strong client relationships.
- Proven capability to identify opportunities both through leveraging internal networks and utilising your well-stablished networks in industry.
- Proven ability to influence clients, through your strategic advisory and Water Stewardship knowledge.
- Ability and desire to develop team expertise, driving continued excellence.
- A valid, unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence
- Thorough practical understanding of relevant State-based legislation.
- Exceptional technical writing and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage own time and priorities and work collaboratively in a team to meet project objectives in a deadline driven work environment; and
- A collaborative approach and willingness to knowledge share with all team members.
