Intel Costa Rica LAB is an integral part of Intel Corporation, focusing on manufacturing, product design, and quality control. Our Manufacturing, Product, and Quality Engineering (MPQ) team is dedicated to preparing new product designs for manufacturing while ensuring they meet Intel's rigorous quality standards. The Costa Rica Validation Lab Engineering (CRVLE) group supports various engineering teams by providing a shared lab space, enhancing productivity, and promoting a collaborative "One Intel" approach.
We are seeking a motivated Tactical Planner Student to join our team. This role is designed for a student who is working towards a relevant Bachelor's or Licentiate degree and is at least 1.5 to 2 years away from graduating. The Tactical Planner Student will support vertical teams or planners across the MPQ network, enabling cross-collaboration and contributing to the efficient operation of our lab environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tactical planning and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to one or more vertical teams or planners across the MPQ network, fostering a cross-collaboration environment.
- Create lab schedules of execution using multiple planning systems, monitor and analyze critical indicators to identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage priorities pass down and collaborate with the operation team daily.
- Handle samples creation, manage material distribution, transfers, and inventory usage.
- Demonstrate customer obsession by understanding specific business unit needs and adapting quickly to changes and requirements.
- Collaborate and build trusted partnerships with peers across the network, different business units, technology development sites, and relevant business partners.
- Exhibit team building, leadership, and collaborative skills.
- Utilize communication and stakeholder management skills to negotiate and resolve conflicts within all levels of the organization, aiming for win-win solutions.
- Synthesize complex information into clear messages and decisions.
- Conduct effective meetings and demonstrate a thoughtful understanding of LEAN, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and problem-solving techniques.
As a successful candidate, you must possess:
- Previous experience in tactical or manufacturing planning.
- Advanced MS Office skills.

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications
- Advanced English proficiency, as the selected candidate will interact with stakeholders from other regions.
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Licentiate Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Graduation Timeline: with 50-70% of the engineering program completed and at least 1 year remaining as an active student.
- 6+ months of experience in related areas/fields.
- Willing to dedicate 36 hours per week to the Student Worker program.
- Any previous experience in tactical or manufacturing planning.
- Advanced MS Office skills.
