POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Power Systems Manager with a strong background utilizing electrical engineering principles to design power systems. The position has emphasis on developing and verifying power systems that meet technical requirements. Flexibility will be key as this role and responsibilities could evolve as the program moves through various lifecycle phases.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the team that develops, tests, and certifies power systems hardware that controls Life Support Systems.
Establish strong working relationships with Axiom Leadership Team, Systems Engineering, respective internal/external stakeholders, and NASA customers.
Lead, collaborate, and conduct program design and safety reviews with internal Axiom development teams and NASA customers for commercial spacesuit development.
Provide or lead project management efforts for managing, and mitigating schedule, budget, and risk activities.
Write Statements of Work and manage vendors in Level of Effort and Milestone contracts.
Provide guidance for hardware systems, technical discussions, organization, and architecture development.
Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.
Implementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform additional job duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related discipline) is required (Master’s preferred)
A minimum of 10+ years of management experience in NASA/DOD flight hardware development
Experience leading technical teams larger than 5 people
Experience in Criticality 1 development and testing of power systems
Experience in formal test and verification activities including flight hardware
Experience with Altium PCB design software and SPICE simulation
Track record of delivering outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Uses good judgement to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges
Proven to deliver high quality results under tight deadlines

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
Requirements
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time)
May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time)
