Description

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for being the face of the brand in their specific country. They will be responsible for market strategy, product, customer acquisition, retention and payments. They will need to know about the user experience building relationships, seeking marketing and partner opportunities, specialist market knowledge Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific and very clear objectives across different channels and segments. Hosting of VIP events with VIP Managers and attending all brand events as well as attending of TV / Radio interviews.

  • Translate a global brand position and guidelines to a local African market by applying local insights while keeping the local brand with a global relevance.
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from inception until completion, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration in order to ensure set KPI’s and Objectives are achieved.
  • Analyze customer insights / behaviours, customer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practise to build successful strategies.
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and marketing strategies, complete with formal proposals as well as recommendations on tactics;
  • Plan and execute a multi-project Marketing promotional campaign for customer acquisition, retention and reactivation.
  • Be able to write briefs that is clear and easy to understand to 3rd party agencies as well as internal design teams.
  • Measure and report performance of all Marketing campaigns, and assess against mutually agreed goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Manage the user experience journey, from first time registration to becoming a loyal customer.
  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior management regarding marketing programs, strategies and proposed budgets
  • Create persuasive marketing and promotional content plan that focusses on customer acquisition, customer retention and customer reactivation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimise and maximise the marketing function
  • Demonstrable experience in planning, organising and publishing a persuasive marketing plan.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising strategy in line with business objectives.
  • Committed to brand voice and developing the brand through effective PR and communication, through all business avenues.



Requirements

  • Strong communication and management skills.
  • Proven working experience in the sports betting / sports or telco environment.
  • Great research and analytical skills.
  • Strong organising, facilitation and self-initiative skills.
  • Exceptional planning and quality control abilities
  • Fluent in English.
  • Good understanding of online and direct response marketing
  • Big sports fan or sports bettor
  • Ability to do strategic and hands-on work
  • Analytical ability and the understanding of profit/loss profiles, creating and reading reports, understanding data and the ability to distinguish between the important and unimportant, strategic development.
