We are looking for an experienced, talented Procurement Manager to join our Finance & Operations team. In this high-visibility and influential role, you will manage the company’s purchases, shipments, import/export and customs matters. This is a full-time position, reporting to the VP of Finance and Operations.
The Procurement Manager will work closely with the finance, operations, legal, engineering, IT and HR departments. Responsibilities include oversight and hands-on activities ensuring the smooth running of purchasing and shipping processes, improving company procedures and day-to-day operations, compliance with regulations and best practices, promoting employee satisfaction, communicating with company management, and negotiations with vendors
Requirements
- Fluency in both Hebrew and English, spoken and written.
- Previous experience in a procurement, purchasing, import/export, customs, logistics, and/or shipping role in a fast-paced global environment.
- Strong knowledge of global trade practices, customs regulations, and freight forwarding. Previously working as a forwarder- advantage.
- A pleasant and friendly attitude.
- Inventory management and budget management experience- an advantage
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact between internal departments and external suppliers/shipping partners
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of goods at optimal cost and quality (direct and indirect)
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international vendors
- Prepare and manage purchase orders, documentations, including contract review
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Coordinate and oversee all shipping activities for imports and exports.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs laws, and documentation requirements.
- Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to arrange transportation and clearance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Incoterms, tariffs, duties, and import/export restrictions.
- Track procurement budgets, freight expenses, and related costs.
- Conduct cost analysis and implement strategies for reducing expenses.
