Underground Drilling Division within business area Mining has end-to-end responsibility for product management, new product development (including engineering, manufacturing and supply chain), product marketing and technical sales support for Underground Drills in mining and tunneling.
We are now looking for a pro-active and skilled Procurement Manager. This is a temporary (parental leave substitution) and full time position based in Tampere, Finland.
Your responsibilities
In this role you are responsible for direct purchases related to all underground drill rigs manufacturing in Tampere production unit. The supply chain consists of more than 200 suppliers, located in Finland and abroad, and you have a team of proficient buyers to lead. Daily processes to manage and develop are forecasting and ordering followed by delivery, inventory and purchase invoice management. You are responsible for inventory levels and supplier delivery performance as well as development of the procurement processes and supply chain. Therefore, your main performance indicators are material availability to production, net working capital and supply lead time. Co-operation with various internal and external stakeholders is essential part of the job. You will also be a member of PU UG Supply management team.
Your skills and qualifications
You have a suitable engineering degree (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) with several years of industry experience. Structured, analytic mind, exceptional team and trust builder describe your character. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills are highly valuated. You are a team player with the ability to motivate people to their best performance, also without formal authority. Earlier practical experience and understanding on supply chain management and/or sourcing is highly valued.
Also, knowledge on products and production processes is seen as benefit. You have systematic and well-organized way of working which also remains under pressure. Solution oriented mind set and the ability to create and implement development plans are essential to be successful in the job. ERP systems and reporting tools are familiar to you to great extent. Fluent English and Finnish skills are required in this job. The willingness to travel is expected but the amount of travel is not significant.
