I.  Job Summary

Reporting to the Vendor Operations Manager or Supervisor, this position will be responsible for the performance of Service Fulfillment functions as well as the standard day-to-day maintenance of Waste Management & third-party vendor operations.

II.  Duties and Responsibilities 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other ancillary duties may be assigned.  

  • Execute “One Off” Temporary and Permanent delivery requests including cost, availability, price, and approval steps as needed
  • Execute “One Off” Service Change requests including cost, availability, price, and approval steps as needed
  • Serve as subject matter expert to accurately perform set-up activities in SFDC, Acorn & MAS
  • Involved in addressing day-to-day issues related to vendor paperwork (i.e., Workorders, Schedule As, etc.) and works with internal and external partners to resolve basic transactional processing related issues ensuring department SLAs are met. 
  • Responsible for monitoring and managing incoming volume related to escalated service issues. 
  • Ensure documentation is handled properly and follow-up with vendors and locations to confirm schedule and actual completion of requests, when necessary
  • Perform tasks related to the Vendor contracts and works with internal and external partners to resolve complex issues ensuring department SLAs are met. 
  • Support internal team and external vendors with on-boarding process of all new vendors.
  • Responsible for obtaining quotes, negotiating and/or procuring all service costs for all materials assigned and securing proper evidence for bulk procurement projects with both Waste Management Market areas and all Third-Party vendors for open and/or closed market entities.
  • Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, when interacting with WM customers and vendor partners to resolve simple issues effecting service and operations.
  • Project based work with detailed instructions and timelines as assigned
  • Assist with maintenance of the third-party cost grid and informational databases used by SBS by information gathering and data entry when necessary.

There is no supervisory responsibility.

A.  Education and Experience

Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited).

Experience: One year of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement). One year as a Vendor Operations Representative I or equivalent preferred.

The expected base pay range for this hybrid position is $25.75. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
