Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: North MOB – OB/GYN
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for facilitating patient flow from entry to destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. The individual will gather essential financial and demographic information to ensure accurate records that support optimal reimbursement and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule patient appointments and conduct interviews to collect necessary medical information.
Explain departmental and hospital charges and policies to patients.
Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems.
Collect payments as needed.
Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred experience in a healthcare setting.
Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) is preferred.
Ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology is a plus.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
