The Position

The Opportunity:

As the Global Data Product Owner (GDPO) for contextualized sensor data, you are the critical link between operational technology, IT, and digital initiatives. You will spearhead the strategy and lifecycle management for all Manufacturing  and Quality -based data products.

Your role requires translating the needs of digital and business stakeholders into concrete technical specifications. This involves leveraging your in-depth, hands-on experience with the OSISoft PI technology stack, including its Asset Framework (AF) and Event Frames (EF) components, to build and sustain robust data solutions. 

In this strategic capacity, you will define and champion the product vision and roadmap, assessing industry trends to ensure your data products remain innovative and aligned with Roche's organizational goals. You will manage the entire data product development lifecycle—from ideation and design through to deployment and sustainment—leveraging Roche’s IT and OT ecosystems to deliver stable, automated solutions. A key part of your mandate is to ensure strict adherence to governance and compliance; this includes upholding Roche’s data quality standards, data governance policies, and critical regulatory requirements, with a steadfast focus on data privacy, security, and ethical use in every product you deliver.

Who you are:

Your domain expertise in pharmaceutical technical operations is essential. A strong understanding of Regulatory requirements (IMA; IND; BLA Submission oriented), manufacturing equipment, MES systems for Recipe and Batch Management, LIMS for lab data management and control systems. Strong experience in cloud platforms like AWS, Snowflake or others, to drive analytics and operational excellence across Pharma Technical Operations is required. Understanding the basics of Post Approval submissions and having an understanding of the ICH M4Q CTD standards for the submission structure. Knowledge of CMC data submissions.

The ideal candidate has excellent abilities in analyzing and translating business objectives and requirements into user stories and high-quality data design features. Additionally, they are a strong and influential leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributor. They possess strong communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts in an understandable manner, and have experience in stakeholder management and familiarity with Design Thinking principles.

Furthermore, you bring the below qualification, experience and technical skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or technology-related field.

  • 7+ years of industry experience, demonstrating high proficiency in designing and delivering complex, high-quality data and analytics solutions in a fast, agile, and scalable model.

  • 4+ years of experience in a product owner, data analyst, or related role, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

  • Proven track record of data management on cloud platforms.

  • Experience in product management and roadmap development.

  • Experience leading data/analytics teams in an agile setting.

  • Strong understanding of data architectures, data modeling, and data integration methodologies.

  • Proven knowledge of standard concepts and experience in data mesh, data warehousing, and data delivery procedures.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake).
