How will you make an impact in this role?
Global Card Issuance (GCI) manages service partners that provide card manufacturing, issuance and project support for all proprietary American Express cards globally. This role concentrates on driving strategic and transformational projects within the Supply Chain Management team, focusing on identifying, assessing, and implementing solutions to optimize global processes and supporting how we manufacture, personalize, and deliver cards to our Card Members globally.
Some key responsibilities for this role include:
- Defining and developing holistic strategies and roadmaps to drive goals.
- Identifying and driving transformational initiatives and opportunities, assessing and evaluating new capabilities and enhancements.
- Management and implementation of projects and process improvements for optimized business outcomes.
- Deliver reduction in operating expenses through projects to achieve aggressive financial targets.
- Coordinating and driving alignment across cross-functional internal and external partners.
- Partnership with various issuance and operations teams to support implementations.
- Partnership with Network and Compliance teams to manage changes and maintain compliance within industry standards and requirements.
- Partnership with Technologies and Capabilities teams to ensure seamless integration and enhancements to card issuance platforms, infrastructure, and operational processes.
- Partnership with Supply Management for onboarding and uplifting contractual agreements.
- Partnership with 3rd party vendors to drive cost-effective and scalable solutions and improvements.
- Leverage analysts/engineers to support projects and lead efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong strategy, transformational, or project management experience.
- Results-driven, with the ability to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and effectively manage projects and initiatives, to drive change from conception through to implementation.
- Ability to strategically think and link processes, systems, and infrastructure for complex operational functions.
- Ability to translate data analytics into impactful insights and actionable outcomes.
- Superior problem solving skillset with strong learning agility, curiosity, and willingness to embrace new challenges and challenge status quo.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Adept at developing recommendations/proposals and securing buy-in from senior leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or in teams.
- Strong sense of personal accountability and demonstrated self-starter.
- Experience with principles and methodologies preferred from: supply chain management; complex problem solving; continuous improvement; cost benefit analysis; project management; strategic planning; analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Global Card Issuance experience preferred
Minimum Qualifications
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
