Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Develop and implement year-round sports performance programs for assigned teams.
- Design and implement recovery strategies.
- Coordinate rehabilitation with the Sports Medicine staff.
- Create short and long-term goals with coaching staff.
- Communicate student-athlete’s progress with coaching staff.
- Perform various administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Performance.
- Assist in the yearly budget forecast for the Sports Performance Department.
- Oversee the Sports Performance Department Internship Program.
- Directly supervise sports performance sessions for assigned teams as well as assist with additional team workouts.
- Oversee the daily operations of the weight room (cleaning, equipment storage)
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Performance Coach.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in related field.
- Certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCCA)
- Three or more years coaching at the collegiate level required.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess a current CPR certification at time of hire or must attain one within one month of the date of hire.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Ability to lift to fifty pounds.
- Working knowledge of the repair and maintenance of athletic strength and training equipment.
- Successful supervisory experience.
- Working knowledge of budget and business practices preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate and communicate proper spotting and lifting techniques.
- Able to travel, normally required a valid driver’s license.
