As a Team Manager that sits within the CIN Service, you will oversee support for children in need and on child protection plans, identifying and addressing risks while working with families and professionals to ensure children’s safety, development, and wellbeing remain paramount.
What You’ll Be Doing / How You’ll Be Involved
This role offers the chance to join a dynamic child in need team, working closely with MASH and partners in Police, Health, and Education. You will lead strategically and operationally, building supportive relationships with children in need, those on child protection plans, and their families to deliver effective assessments, plans, and interventions. Working within the proven ‘Camden Model of Social Work’ under Ofsted-rated outstanding leadership, you will contribute to a collaborative, learning-focused environment that promotes positive outcomes for children and families.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS. Please note Camden also offers the DBS update service.

You will be a versatile and experienced practitioner with a social work qualification and current SWE registration, skilled in safeguarding, care proceedings, and court work. You will have substantial post-qualifying experience in multi-cultural, inner-city communities, with expertise in complex assessments, care and protection planning, and monitoring outcomes.
Strong leadership, staff management, and supervision skills are essential, along with the ability to work in partnership with a range of stakeholders. You will also have sound knowledge of the excellent communication, analytical, and IT skills, and the ability to drive performance and positive change are key to success in this role.
