Senior Subject Matter Expert - Insulation Coatings

Hempel R&D is looking for a Senior Subject Matter Expert on Thermal Insulation Coatings who will be responsible for delivering fast and reliable customer-oriented technical support throughout our global Hempel organization.

The role will focus on supporting our sales and technical teams and leading development of technical knowledge. This involves working closely with our R&D team and Product Management on key product development projects.

• Providing the technical expertise to win projects and successfully deliver on them.

• Driving our mission to achieve vital certifications.

• Leading development & sharing of technical knowledge, both across Hempel and external coatings industry.

• Helping to enable rapid resolution of global claims, challenges and documentation of lessons learned.

What does success look like?

• Advising and supporting the organizations (e.g. Technical Service, Sales and Marketing)

• Supporting R&D and Product Management on TIC testing

• Taking ownership of our specifications and technical data

• Creating / improving our product documentation material

• Participating in Industry & Standards committees

• Producing white papers, attending and presenting at key conferences/webinars.

• Responsible for product performance guarantee contracts

• Providing technical training to relevant colleagues within Hempel

• Supporting customer satisfaction

What do we look for in you?

• University degree in Polymers, Chemistry, Engineering or similar scientific fields

• Minium 5 years experience with TIC

• Some CUI coatings experience is a plus

• Ability to work as part of a dynamic team

• Excellent English proficiency, written and verbal

• Computer skills (preferred): Microsoft Office including Word, Excel (advanced), Power Point, Teams
