The Global Workplace Services Business & Sustainability Data Program Manager – Platforms leads global data strategy and program delivery for GWS Sustainability, driving operational excellence and strategic alignment across sustainability initiatives, including Carbon, Waste, Water, Ecosystems, and Fleet Electrification.

Responsibilities
Data Stewardship & Program Delivery:
- Lead and optimize the end-to-end global data workflow, ensuring accurate collection, verification, and assurance audits for sustainability programs and cost benchmarking.
- Consolidate and streamline data sources, address integrity issues, and advise on tools and models for improved reporting.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Lead cross-functional teams, including data analysts and program managers, to deliver impactful data solutions aligned with business goals.
- Facilitate adoption of data collection techniques through training, workshops, and stakeholder engagement.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement:
- Drive process improvements, efficiency tracking, and contingency planning to resolve challenges and support business continuity as this pertains to our Sustainability Initiatives.
Sustainability Data Management:
- Oversee the collection and assurance of sustainability data for annual reporting, ensuring data quality and compliance with standards.
- Lead a team of quality assurance analysts to maintain data integrity and continuously enhance data tools and dashboards.
- Support comprehensive sustainability strategies and quantitative impact assessment.
- Evaluate industry and regulatory trends to inform GWS strategies and maintain awareness of global objectives.
- Foster partnerships and coordinate regularly with internal stakeholders to advance sustainability initiatives.
- Serve as support and backup to the GWS Global Sustainability Lead, as needed.
Tooling & Reporting Enhancement:
- Lead selection and implementation of data collection and reporting tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Build dashboards for real-time resource usage insights across the organization, define success metrics, and apply business intelligence to guide strategic decisions.
- Build and maintain a centralized platform to monitor sustainability commitments and inform decision-making.
- Ensure seamless data sharing and alignment with related programs.
Strategic Direction & Change Management:
- Formulate and execute long-term data management strategies in line with Microsoft’s sustainability goals.
- Drive initiatives to improve data quality and scalability, utilizing solutions like Power BI, Excel, Dynamics 365, and Microsoft Sustainability Manager.
- Integrate data collection processes with broader organizational systems to increase efficiency and reduce redundancies.
- Lead change management efforts to promote adoption of new tools, dashboards, and governance practices.
- Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, address challenges, and align solutions with organizational objectives.
- Develop contingency plans to ensure continuity during system transitions or data discrepancies.
- Communicate complex data systems and insights clearly to support informed stakeholder decisions.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience
- 1+ year(s) of professional experience working in sustainability
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Analytical Ability: Expertise in reviewing quantitative and conceptual challenges, drawing conclusions, and recognizing key elements and relationships in data.
- Data Expertise: Ability to identify, integrate, and evaluate data sources to address business needs, develop models and tools, and resolve data quality issues.
- Quality Assurance: Experience with establishing and maintaining both manual and automated workflows for collecting and verifying global utility and waste data.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, develop strategies, and drive process improvements in line with organizational goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Proficient communication and change management skills to promote adoption and ensure alignment across teams.
Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
