Zapp is hiring a Distribution Centre Manager, to play a crucial role in ensuring our Distribution Centre and Logistics provides an accurate and efficient service to our fulfilment centres,(stores) contributing to the overall success of Zapp.

As well as ensuring excellent day to day performance you will collaborate closely with business leaders to define and implement our future requirements .

Here’s What You’d Be Doing:

Distribution Centre Operations

Own the relationship with our 3rd party logistics provider
Establish, track and analyse KPIs to drive improved performance
Communicate the performance against contractual KPIs on a regular basis to the Zapp leadership team and our 3rd party logistic provider
Oversee inventory management processes, including cycle counting, first-in, first-out (FIFO), and inventory control to minimise waste & shrink.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards for safety, security, and regulation.
Provide training, coaching, and support to the Distribution Centre supervisors and associates to enhance their skills and performance.
Continuously evaluate the Distribution Centre processes and procedures and identify opportunities to streamline operations and enhance the overall customer experience.
Collaborate with the Zapp product team to identify and implement improvements to the technical solution that supports the DC
Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to prevent theft, fraud, and operational losses.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and a customer-centric culture.

Working closely with Supply Chain, Commercial and Fulfillment Centre (store) operations

Collaborate with the broader teams ensuring that the DC operation is at the heart of decision making and develop the capabilities required within the DC to support Zapp business requirements
Be an active part of the broader supply chain team keeping up to speed with the Zapp supply chain systems and processes

What We’re Looking For:

5+ years of work experience in Distribution Centre and/or Retail operations.
In-depth understanding of Distribution Centre and/or retail operations, loss prevention strategies, security protocols, and industry regulations.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication style to work effectively at all levels
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in data analysis with experience working with data analytics and visualisation tools such as Looker, Excel and Google Analytics.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
