Job Summary
- Exempt: No
- Works with appropriate personnel to conduct retrospective and concurrent case reviews for event identification, investigation, reporting, and analysis for performance improvement. Responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of performance improvement initiatives to enhance the care of the trauma patient throughout the care continuum of care. This position is represented by RCHEA.

Education and Qualifications
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associate's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Three years' relevant experience: Preferred
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Experience in program development and process improvement: Preferred
- LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification: Required
- LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required

- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (b): This job requires frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing,
- reaching above shoulders, sitting, walking inclines and declines, standing, talking, hearing, and
- performing repetitive hand motions. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust
- focus. The employee will occasionally pull, lift, transfer, or push a patient side to side, to a sitting
- position, to a standing position, or laterally. The employee must demonstrate a pull lift of 50 pounds
- from the floor.
- POTENTIAL EXPOSURE TO BLOOD & BODY FLUIDS: Category 1 for potential exposure to bloodbody
- fluids. (Requires the performance of procedures or other tasks in the work routine that involve an

Job Roles
RN, Trauma Registrar/PI Coordinator (AHCL)
- Oversees Trauma Registry which includes inputting data, validation of data and running reports. Conducts and documents all levels of review on trauma patients through loop closure for process improvement opportunities. Completes chart audits as needed. Designs and performs audits and reports to support registry validation, recognize trends, and support process improvement activities by the PDCA model. Applies working knowledge of the techniques, principles, theories and concepts of the discipline, staff, technologies, services, and practices to complete routine and nonroutine assignments. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
