- Experience in software development project management, with the ability to define projects and execute within timelines and with multiple stakeholders, and deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Ability to work separately and on multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management.
- Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fluid, constantly evolving team environment.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project life-cycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You are equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities
- Own and guide high-impact infrastructure projects from requirements through launch, including defining requirements, identifying dependencies, managing project schedules, and performing risk management.
- Identify trends and themes among project and team issues, and drive root-cause analysis with the engineering, product, and UX teams.
- Address the issues of scope creep, shifting priorities, and delayed timelines while maintaining a clear focus on delivering results. Work with engineers and leadership to distill complex technical concepts into actionable steps.
- Help bridge the gap between technical teams and executive leadership by showcasing the impact of infrastructure work. Lead efforts to quantify and communicate the value of ongoing projects, helping secure buy-in, alignment on direction and visibility.
- Drive quarterly planning process for the team across Chat and with partners (e.g., Workspace Platforms) ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
