Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience working as a pre-sales engineer or a similar partner-facing technical role
  • Experience in the following areas of IT infrastructure: UEM, Identity Management (SSO, SAML, LDAP, ActiveDirectory), Security (VPN, firewalls, Zero trust), Cloud technologies and productivity services (e.g. Google Workspace)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with web application and integration (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS), VDI solutions (Citrix, VMWare, RDP), and Mobile Apps (Android, iOS)
  • Experience architecting and supporting software deployments for large enterprises, including device management solutions and end-user computing
  • Experience working as a member of a Professional Services or Systems Engineering team
  • Understanding of Android and Chrome (e.g., Linux system architecture/administration, Java/HTML5 development, Android development, ADB, etc.)

About the job

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

As a Partner Sales Engineer for ChromeOS, you will be a key member of the Customer and Partner Sales Engineering (CaPSE) team. You will be an essential technical resource for our channel partners, helping them build and maintain strong relationships with their customers by providing technical expertise, support, and enablement. You will work closely with the channel sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure our partners are equipped to successfully position and sell our solutions. Your role is crucial in inspiring leading organizations to work smarter with Google's tools. You will also be responsible for identifying and qualifying business opportunities, addressing technical objections, and developing strategies to resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the wider ChromeOS Partner community to scale technical knowledge, solution designs, and convert ChromeOS and related technologies within the partner sales network. Support and train current partners and help recruit new strategic partners.
  • Support partner managers in roadmap sessions and technical trainings, assist in sales motions, and help qualify business opportunities. Define and share key reporting metrics with the Google Partner Sales Engineering team.
  • Become an expert on Chrome OS, application virtualization and secure browsing, and be the POC for partners. Address inquiries and resolve technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with partners to understand their business needs and design tailored solutions. Prepare and deliver product messaging, presentations, demonstrations, and white papers.
  • Liaise with the product management, channel sales, and marketing teams to stay informed about industry trends and contribute to the enhancement of Google's platform.
