Radiologic Technologist - Per Diem - Big Flats Surgical Center

Position Summary: 

Operates portable C‐arm during pain management procedures to produce diagnostic images for the physician.

Education, License & Cert: 

1. High school graduate

2. Radiology Technician program Licenses Must be a registered and licensed radiology technician, meeting the requirements for registry by the ARRT (American registry of radiologic technology), and NYS; or temporary NYS license pending RT and LRT

Experience: 

Minimum of six months experience as a registered radiology technician is preferred

Essential Functions: 

1. Perform a variety of tasks involved in operating c‐arm to make radiographs of designated portions of the body as specified by the physician

2. Ensure health protective measures and radiation protection measures are established and employed

3. Fundamentals of radiographic positioning, principles of asepsis & sterile techniques 4. Good communication and interpersonal skills with physician, nurses, patients 5. Basic computer skills (enter patient data & extract patient information)
